WP 1. Development of an online platform reflecting the data, information and knowledge on the ERICs RP1 (Lead by: DARIAH)add

 

WP1 will focus on identifying the data that should be available on this reporting platform: taking stock of what has been done in the first project including the outputs about KPIs and SEIs. It will also devise a strategy for collecting and curating the identified data and define the specifications for the construction of the platform.

WP 2. Development of an online platform reflecting the data, information and knowledge on the ERICs RP2 (Lead by: ICOS)add

 

WP2 will design the platform architecture, functionalities, features, user experience and user interface together with the chosen providers, building on the existing ERIC Forum toolbox. It will also fill in the platform with already collected data and other content in line with the FAIR principles.

WP3 will take care of the maintenance of the platform, integrating outputs of the 2nd ERIC Forum projects, with a specific focus on KPIs and SEI data made available during the 2nd ERIC Forum.

WP 4. ERICs and European Science Policy & Research Strategy (Implementation Action 8) (Lead by: ECRIN)add

 

WP4 will align RIs’ contribution across Horizon Europe pillars, and promote their participation in EU Partnerships and Missions, ensuring synergies with the ERA monitoring framework.

WP 7. International dimension of ERICs (Lead by: Instruct)add

 

WP7 will describe the engagement modalities used by ERICs with third Countries, propose models of engagement according to need and pilot models and set up the infrastructure for integration.

WP 8. Towards the green and digital transition (Lead by: ELI)add

 

WP8 will define recommendations leading to the carbon footprint reduction of buildings housing ERICs operations and instruments and services provided by ERICs. It will also study the use of digital twin and remote access to RIs as a way of reducing energy consumption and lead an internal discussion within the ERICs on the outcomes of these exercises.

WP 10. Strategy on building shared services between ERICs (Lead by: AnaEE)add

 

WP10 will evaluate operational activities across (future) ERICs and propose services and resources that can be shared within (a subset of) ERICs to minimise repetitive and redundant effort across ERICs, including put forward a proposal for the back office shared services portal/platform with resources, and which actions will benefit from a decentralised versus centralised “back office” or hub.

WP 11. Implementation of the ERIC Regulation: Strategy on European employment contracts (Lead by: CERIC)add

 

WP11 will identify the main issues in developing attractive careers for researchers and personnel in support of research activities in the ERICs and propose a common legal framework to be approved at EU level.

WP12 will identify challenges, negative consequences and barriers, linked to the implementation of the ERICs regulation. It will also identify practical hurdles regarding the implementation of the VAT exemption, including its interpretation and use at national level.
