Exposure to artificial materials, either as a result of their intended use (e.g., food packaging) or at the end of their lifecycle (e.g., plastic wear), can have a profound impact on human health, either directly or through the food we eat or the environment we live in.
A core aim of the FHERITALE project is to provide the European research community with a comprehensive overview of technologies and services that are relevant to understanding this impact. These services span multiple scales and disciplines, including metrology, structural biology, microbiology, and ecotoxicology. Our first map of services available through European Research Infrastructures for research in this area is now available.
Another key objective of FHERITALE is to analyse the current landscape of available services and engage with the research community to identify priority research needs, service gaps, and critical technologies across the Food, Health, and Environment domains.
If you are a researcher or service provider in these fields we would be very grateful for your input, and kindly invite you to share your insights via our survey: https://survey.metrofood.eu/index.php/826343
