eRImote Information Platform

The eRImote project concluded in November 2024, but the Information Platform continues as an evergreen resource for research infrastructures to make use of.

The central aim of the eRImote project is to consider solutions for digital and remote service provision across RI domains, and to look for transferable practices and new developments that will improve accessibility and resilience of RI infrastructures.

eRImote has achieved this through several mechanisms, including workshops, webinars, and the Green Paper, which clearly defines remote access and its advantages and disadvantages, as well as outlining the fundamental barriers and best practices in remote access provision.

The resources developed both by the eRImote project itself, plus from internal and external partners, are outlined in the eRImote Information Platform.

The platform is split into two parts: documents and video resources. The document side includes a wide variety of downloaded resources, including access to services, training, funding and policy documents, and many more, plus a full section of excellent resources in NMR from the linked R-NMR project.

The video section provides recordings and summaries of eRImote workshops, plus webinars carried out with industry partners on providing remote access to electron microscopy services.

The eRImote Information Platform is designed to be a central service for research infrastructures to identify gaps in their remote access provision, and find solutions and take on the experiences of others to more effectively offer remote and virtual access.
